The Bosch Crash Data Retrieval System has fast become an
indispensable part of a complete crash reconstruction program. Police
agencies, private reconstructionists, government agencies and other safety
researchers have fast come to the realization that data stored in the
air bag control module (ACM) and the Powertrain Control Module (Ford's)
and ONLY accessible using the Bosch Crash Data Retrieval System is an
invaluable part of a complete and thorough crash reconstruction. Whether
for trial, research, or any other crash related safety program, the Crash
Data Retrieval System has become an integral tool in the effort to move
roadway safety efforts forward.
I Got Hit has recently announced the addition of the following
components for the Crash Data Retrieval System Kit:
- Chrysler Coverage:
With an estimated ship date of December 15, 2007, support for select
2004-2007 Chrysler vehicles sold in North America will be covered.
- Ford PCM (Powertrain Control Module):
Over 3 million Ford vehicles on the road today in the US that are equipped
with powertrain control modules that store crash data. Coverage is for
2003-2007 Ford PCMs that store crash data. This may also require the
new OBDII DLC cable and power supply.
- Ford Takata Cable:
This is new CDR cable that allows users to connect directly to the airbag
control module (ACM) on 2005-2007 Ford Crown Vics, Mercury Grand Marquis
and Lincoln Town Cars. NOTE: This cable will be included in the Crash Data Retrieval
Hardware Kit beginning Dec. 15, 2007.
- CDR OBDII DLC Cable:
This is a new cable required for use with the Ford PCM Kit. This cable
will be included in the CDR Hardware Kit beginning Dec. 15, 2007. If
you have purchased an earlier CDR Hardware kit you will need to purchase
this cable.

This is a new power supply required for use with the Ford PCM Kit. This
cable is currently included with Hardware only kits that were purchased
beginning in September 2007.
